Questions
What shoppers ask before ordering custom panels.
Sizes and measuring
- How do I measure my window?
- Measure the width of your curtain rod and the drop from the rod to where you want the panel to end, usually the floor. Each fabric's page has a measuring guide, and works out how many panels cover your rod. How a panel is made
- How wide is a panel?
- A standard panel is 50in of flat fabric. Pleated headings gather it to about 25in wide, so a pleated window needs about twice as many panels. Many fabrics also come 25in, 75in or 100in wide.
- Can I order a length that isn't listed?
- Yes. Choose “Custom size” on the fabric's page and enter your length. A custom size is priced by quote: send the configuration and the studio replies with a price. Nothing is guessed.
Panel tops and lining
- Which panel tops can I choose?
- Depending on the fabric: rod pocket, grommet, French, pinch or Euro pleats, tab top, hidden tab, or a flat panel on rings. Each fabric's page lists the tops it's made with and prices each one. The shop can also show only fabrics made with the top you want. Browse fabrics
- Is lining included?
- Standard lining is included in every panel's price. Blackout lining is available on many fabrics for an extra charge, shown on the fabric's page as you choose it.
- Are tie-backs included?
- Tie-backs are complimentary.
Swatches
- Can I see the fabric before I order?
- Yes. Order up to 5 free swatches per request and hold the fabric in your own light before your panels are made. Open any fabric and choose “Add a free swatch”. Your swatch list
Ordering and making
- How do I order?
- Choose your size, panel top, lining and number of panels on the fabric's page. Listed sizes can be ordered through the shop's Etsy listing; any configuration can be emailed to the studio, and custom sizes are quoted.
- How long does it take?
- Every panel is cut and sewn for your order, never pulled from stock. Each fabric's page shows when an order placed today ships, worked out from that fabric's own make time; for most it's 4–6 weeks.
- I have a larger project, or many windows.
- Email the studio at info@lushlivingscurtains.com with the fabrics, sizes and number of windows.
Returns
- Can I return custom panels?
- Because each panel is made for your window, custom panels can't be returned. That's why swatches are free: order them first and be sure of the fabric. Free swatches
